Countryview of Sunbury's Own Tyler Myers is the Brian Colleran CareGiver of the Month for April 2017!

We are proud to shine the Atlas Healthcare Solutions spotlight on Tyler Myers! What Tyler brings to long-term care is the essence of the vision cast by nursing home developer, Brian Colleran. Perspectives of Tyler, like this one from Penny Moore, BSN, Regional Clinician, are why we chose to highlight his accomplishments. She had this to say about Tyler’s work ethic: “Tyler does an excellent job leading the nursing team at Countryview. He was recently promoted to Regional DON. Tyler is very patient and caring with the residents and always willing to lend a hand. Don’t expect to find Tyler sitting in the DON office when you come to Countryview. He is most likely out on the units assisting and teaching. Tyler is a true team player.”

The Brian Colleran Caregiver of the Month award recognizes long-term care employees that go above and beyond to excel in clinical excellence and resident satisfaction. At Atlas, we believe that every member of our long-term care teams are as important as the next. Whether one is a housekeeper, director of nursing, or business office manager, we all work together for the good of our residents and communities. Brian and the Foundations team knows that quality is more than the new buildings and renovations, but it is also found in our commitment to better the lives of our residents and help them reach their maximum potential.

Tyler grew up in Bellview, Ohio and graduated from Clear Fork High School where he served as senior class president and was active in the National Honor Society. He knew, early on, that his passion would be pursuing a nursing degree and specializing in long term care. Tyler’s patient and caring demeanor was a perfect foundation for his desire to work with the elderly. He became a STNA and worked at a 60 bed facility in Lexington, Ohio prior to being accepted into the Nursing Program at North Central State College. In 2011, Tyler began his career at Countryview of Sunbury as a STNA where he worked while attending nursing school. Serving the residents in this role strengthened his ability to be a relatable leader later on. Shortly after graduating in 2014, he moved into a nursing position at the facility. The following year, Tyler was promoted to DON. 2016 was another accomplished year as he helped lead Countryview of Sunbury in a deficiency free survey with the Ohio Department of Health. His proven track record has earned him the title of Regional DON. In this role, Tyler continues to lead the nursing team at Countryview while also lending his expertise to other facilities in the region. This career progression has definitely been a rapid one, but it highlights a very important principal of the Atlas Healthcare Solutions team; Hard work is recognized and rewarded!

When asked about his time at Atlas, Tyler said “Being a member of the Atlas team has been a wonderful and rewarding experience and has offered me so many career-building opportunities that I’m beyond grateful for. I’m thankful for the support and resources Atlas has provided to myself and our staff, along with their willingness to always assist us to be successful and provide the highest quality of care that our residents deserve.” He is also thankful for his family that has grown along with his career. During his time with Atlas, he married and is now a proud father to Brooke (2) and Sadie (7 months).

Excellence in all he does has made Tyler a valued member of the Atlas family. Co-workers and residents alike benefit from his knowledge and hard work. It is employees like Tyler who embody the passion of Brian Colleran - providing great care to every resident, every day. Thank you for all you do Tyler…keep up the fantastic work!
